Thursday 7:00 p.m. – Maundy Thursday, named for the “Service of Mandatum (the New Commandment),” celebrates the institution of the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper. Jesus washes the feet of his disciples and commands them to love one another as he has loved them. At the end of the service  Jesus heads for the Garden of Gethsemane where he will be betrayed by Judas. We sadly remove all the hangings and sacramental objects from the sanctuary, leaving the church in a state of desolation.
